I support The National Universal Service Act (the "draft" bill) because equal rights include equal responsibility. It makes no sense that we tear down gender barriers throughout the armed forces but still do not require women to sign up to potentially be drafted.

I support H.R. 747 ("To amend the Military Selective Service Act to require the registration of women with the") because...We are all created equal. I have served in the Military and woman can do the same things as us guys. Woman actually motivate us to work harder. It provides good competition and morale. Woman provide different perspective on issues that otherwise might be looked at in a very lock-step linear view. Woman should not be limited. Take a look at Israel. Do you think the IDF is weakened by their woman serving in combat roles? I do not think so.

I support H.R. 747 ("To amend the Military Selective Service Act to require the registration of women with the") because, while it may have little chance to make it out of committee at this time, I believe it is the way of the future. The sooner we accept this integration, as with others in the past, the better off we will be as a nation. My mother and father both served as Military Police in the Army, overseas, and I was in the Navy. Those experiences have colored my views on this subject. I believe that, no matter the growing pains we go through now with violence toward female service members within the services currently, eventually, the "novelty" will have worn off, and people will think nothing of having women fight in combat. It is unfortunate, to put it lightly, to be saddled with serving in the transition era, but every transition era that our nation has gone through has been riddled with violence and ill will before people got used to the idea. Therefore, and in conclusion, I support this bill, if only to force the issue and advance the responsibility of service, not only on such women entering the selective service, or on the military, but on the body-politic itself.

I support H.R. 747 ("To amend the Military Selective Service Act to require the registration of women with the") because... I completely disagree with the decision to place women in "combat MOS's" since this decision was decided before doing the research necessary to determine if this was a good decision or not. I am an Active Duty Marine, and I do not know a single woman who could meet the same physical standards of most Infantry Marines. I am sure that there are a couple of elite female athletes that could meet these standards, and more testing needs to be completed before our government jumps to such a decision.

I oppose H.R. 747 ("To amend the Military Selective Service Act to require the registration of women with the") because... not all women can do what men do. not all men can do what women do. What must remain constant is the standard. When a stranded is set i do not care who passes it, as long as they pass it with out cheats or give-me's.

I oppose H.R. 747 ("To amend the Military Selective Service Act to require the registration of women with the") because Representative Tom Cole since a male can not give birth to a future generation of Americans, it is necessary that woman be allowed to give birth, and deliver, the infants. This bill would seriously harm, and endanger the future generations, if women were not here to guarantee the US is populated by American born Citizens.

I oppose H.R. 747 ("To amend the Military Selective Service Act to require the registration of women with the") because I'm a woman who served in the military. My personal opinion is that you need to completely DO AWAY with Selective service so I don't support you adding to it.

I oppose H.R. 747 ("To amend the Military Selective Service Act to require the registration of women with the") because, as a father to a young girl, I do not support the Federal government's desire to forcibly induct anyone's child to serve the states desire for endless conflict and war.
