I support H.R. 222: Frank Buckles World War I Memorial Act because...Although I believe that bills of this type could be better addressed by other means and methods. I do support it for its cause. The young men that sacrificed their lives in support of this country should be properly recognized.

I support H.R. 222: Frank Buckles World War I Memorial Act because...It's the right thing to do. We have neglected these soldiers for too long. I grew up in the Verdun/St.Mihiel Sector in France (U.S.Army Brat) and due to the historical influence it has on me, ,I am now the Director of a small Military Museum (Private) in Illinois. If you were to take a tour or visit there, I believe you would feel the way I do and support this Bill. Thank You for your services

I support H.R. 222 ("To amend the World War I Centennial Commission Act to provide for the designation of") because I read the bill, I understand that under this section "‘Sec. 11. Prohibition on obligation of Federal funds." no Federal Money is to be used for the projects that the commission will be building. Also, there were many men and women who lost their lives during that difficult war have been forgotten. Should the atrocities of WW1 be forgotten or locked away from public view, the following generations will never know how cruel the human race was to their fellow man such a short time ago. The US is not the war monger that other uneducated people have claimed. The US remained neutral for three years, but were finally sucked into a war that they tried so hard to stay out of. Thank you for your insight.

I oppose H.R. 222 ("To amend the World War I Centennial Commission Act to provide for the designation of") because... Under Section 10 (c) of the proposed legislation, I oppose the amount of $10,000,000.00 (Ten Million Dollars), defined therein as the maximum amount authorized to the memorial's costs, as being excessive when considering our current lack of a Federal budget and an extreme amount of Federal spending in deficit.
