I support H.J.Res. 7 ("Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the United States regarding presidential election voting rights") because... It is wrong to deny any US citizen the right to vote regardless of past issues legal or domestic!! Keyword "citizen". Everyone has the right to vote!!!

I support H.J.Res. 7 ("Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the United States regarding presidential election voting rights") because this is long overdue. Yeah I know that Dems rule the territories, especially Guam, we shouldn't deny them their right to vote in Presidential Elections just because they are not a "state". Grow up people! Believe it or not that is where America's day begins. We have military bases and other cojoining agencies that live, work and serve in the territories. They get money from us regardless. This is the next step into statehood, if they vote for it. If that day arrives, beware of their fiscal vitality and rampant nepotism. Study their history, you'll find it no different than what took place here- colonization by foreign countries, the atrocities experienced by them. They even had their own version of a civil war when the Japanese held CNMI and we had Guam. Families were torn apart and those wounds still linger along with the loss of most of their tribal culture by the Spanish who butchered a great many of the male population. Their goverment is much like a state except they have a few extras. Our outpost to the East used by the USN and USAF.

I support H.J.Res. 7 ("Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the United States regarding presidential election voting rights") .Originally I was not going to support this bill. However after reading the comments by those who are opposed, I went back and reread the bill because I thought I might have misread the bill....I hadn't. It does appear that none of those who expressed opposing comments read the bill. The bill CLEARLY states this is for citizens and not just any resident. So for those that still need to read the bill, here is the main part of the bill for your review. `Section 1. The right of citizens of the United States to vote in the election for President and Vice President shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of residency in a territory or commonwealth of the United States. ``Section 2. The Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.''.

I support H.J.Res. 7 ("Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the United States regarding presidential election voting rights") because...those brave men who came before us left English rule behind largely because their interests were not being represented. How can we now legitimately claim our territories should not be represented and be able to vote. Absurd.

I support H.J.Res. 7 ("Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the United States regarding presidential election voting rights") because it was clear in this last election just how far some will go to prevent people from voting. I waited for 2 hours to vote because the state legislature in Florida tried to rig the election by passing laws to hamper voting and creating a lengthy ballot to confuse voters and slow down the lines. Tens of thousands of voters in Florida were unable to cast their vote because partisan politicians tampered with the system in order to favor their side. Congress should ensure that dishonest politicians can't prevent citizens from exercising their right to vote! Pass this bill now!

I support H.J.Res. 7 ("Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the United States regarding presidential election voting rights") because... The bill states "citizens" shall have the right to vote regardless of where they are currently living. I am sure if more people actually read the bill they would support it. As far as I know people born in the US territories are not actual citizens, because their territory has not become a state and has not joined the union under the Constitution. This bill won't give voting rights to the people of the territories. If I am wrong, then I am against this bill..

I oppose H.J.Res. 7 ("Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the United States regarding presidential election voting rights") because... First and foremost we must secure ONE vote to every male and female Citizen of the uSA. Return to the paper ballot which is audit-able - and dispose of electronic voting which is rife for fraud. We need voter ID, and a method (like permanent ink on one finger) to guarantee fair elections.

I oppose H.J.Res. 7 ("Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the United States regarding presidential election voting rights") because...if you an illegal alien you do not have that right we have a system in this country that sucks and will not be fixed. That is where it starts. You come to this country and bring your families and especially your pregnant women who give birth here and then your children are American citizens. Not right. My great, great, great grandfather came from Czechoslovakia and settle in New York and that is where it started. Why not do what he did? He was an immigrant that found his way here and followed the laws to the T. Anyone coming here should do the same.

I oppose H.J.Res. 7 ("Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the United States regarding presidential election voting rights") because...this would give them the same rights as an American citizen and they have become that yet.

I oppose H.J.Res. 7 ("Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the United States regarding presidential election voting rights") because... The election process is made for the residents of the United States ,not for those who just happen to be on this soil. If you want to vote, become a citizen of this country and enjoy the full measure of a United States!
