On Wednesday, the House passed one noncontroversial bill on suspension:
- HR 2453 authorizing a Mark Twain commemorative coin.
The Senate approved the following measures by voice vote:
- S Res 599 reaffirming U.S. support for Israel and Israel's right to defend itself from terrorism.
- S 1440 The Preemie Reauthorization Act, which allows coordination at the federal level on research into the causes of premature births.
- HR 6570 allowing for less frequent reports on how money is spent under the 2009 stimulus bill and the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP).
Friday in Congress:
The Senate has adjourned for Thanksgiving.
The House will vote on:
- HR 6156 The Russia and Moldova Jackson-Vanik Repeal Act,authorizing normal trade relationswith the Russian Federation and Moldova.
